Chipotle Chocolate Chickpeas

Looking for a crunchy snack? These crisp little chickpeas will deliver that satisfaction with a pop of flavor and big dose of nutrition. They are packed with flavonoids, protein, and fiber!

 

Ingredients:


+ 1 can Chickpeas, rinsed/drained
+ 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
+ ½ tsp Sea Salt
+ ½ tsp Cinnamon
+ 1 tsp Chipotle Flakes
+ 2 scoops Cocoa Powder (I used Cocoa Elite Unsweetened Cocoa)
+ 1 tsp Raw Turbanado Sugar

 

Instructions:

Heat the oven to 400. After rinsing the chickpeas, spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment and place them in the oven to dry off ~5 minutes. Remove them and stir in the oil to coat. Sprinkle with the remaining ingredients and toss to distribute mostly evenly. Roast for 10 minutes. Give them a stir. Roast an additional 15 minutes. Turn the oven off, crack the door and let them continue to get crunchy for another 10-15 minutes. Enjoy as a snack or add to yogurt for an on the go meal.
