Grain bowls are something I can eat daily. They promote balance, variety and consistency all in one dish. A good grain bowl should be balanced in that it contains all nutrient categories: complex carbs, protein, fat, and fiber. Consistency because you can eat the same size portions of each component day to day which is good for your digestion, blood sugar, and controlling cravings. Variety because you can eat a 'grain bowl' everyday that is completely different just by swapping an ingredient or two.
This bowl is mild, nourishing, and meant to sooth digestion and cleanse cravings.
1 cup Sprouted Brown Rice, cooked
6oz Salmon, cooked
1/2 cup Parlsey, chopped
1/2 Apple, thinly sliced
Jalapeno, thinly sliced (to taste)
4 tbsp Golden Tahini Dressing
2 tbsp Raw Sunflower Seeds
2 tbsp Dukkah
Toss all ingredients together.
