PSL Homemade Style

There's no denying it, Starbucks won the fall season with it's release of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. For most, the drink's return to coffee shops signifies the coming of all things fall: boots, flannel, chilly air, and holidays. 

However... for those who do not like the overly processed, sugar loaded beverage, well for us, the PSL is just plain annoying. 

So here's the conundrum: I like pumpkin. I do not like ordering the PSL (I find it too fake tasting + doesn't promote my health goals).

Solution: Make it myself!!!!

INGREDIENTS: (Per Drink)

+ Dash of: Cinnamon/ Nutmeg/ Ginger/ Ground Cloves
+ Splash of Pure Vanilla Extract
+ 1 tbsp Pumpkin Puree (canned is fine, but not the pie filling, just use pure 100% pumpkin)
+ 1 tbsp Raw Turbinado Sugar
+ 2 Shots Espresso
+ 1 cup Milk (any type!)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat your milk in a small saucepan. As it heats, whisk in the pumpkin, sugar, and seasonings. Froth (optional). Pour over hot espresso.
